Except Digital Foundry noted yesterday that not every game they played so far was running in native 4K. Quantum Break for instance.

And the majority were still 30 FPS.

It doesn't help that they were all older games either. Going forward the pressure on the system will just increase so they'll probably use resolution swapping or checkboard rendering.

I think it would be a good idea, but they need to be very careful about how they do it.
Have you ever seen a console player try using a mouse if they don't PC game? They get shitstomped. With the amount of kids that play consoles (No this isn't some PC vs. Console nonsense, couldn't care less about all that, but children make up a large demographic in console gaming), there's a lot of people that just wouldn't bother. The reason that's significant is that they would either have to divide servers between mouse users and controller users, or come up with some other way to keep things balanced. The one example that comes to mind immediately is Shadowrun for Xbox 360. It had cross platform from PC to 360, and the console players simply got annihilated every single match. Even with aim assist, few people can come close to the level of precision of a mouse with a controller. FPS games are ultimately incompatible with that sort of use between the two. There's definitely games where it wouldn't matter, but not any FPS', and that's a massive chunk of the XB1 library. They couldn't afford to piss off a large portion of their userbase by suddenly introducing the ability for PC users to hop onto XB1 and slaughter people that have little chance.
Do I want it to succeed? Absolutely. It adds the ability to make certain genres a lot better on console. Imagine a Halo Wars that could've actually been good, or a Starcraft 64 playable with the mouse (remember, there were missions that were exclusive to that version when it first came out)? The real question is whether microsoft fumbles out of the gate with it or actually puts the work in to make sure its functional, supported and balanced.

The point is that consoles have already had KB+M support for nearly 20 years, but next to nobody used it. There also exist fairly cheap converters that allow for KB+M usage on consoles, and if you can't into those HORI makes a KB+M setup specifically for console usage.

At most, this is barely worthy of a shrug. This won't affect the PC market any more than saying that CSGO is getting ported to PS4.

I am starting to feel stupid for buying a pc... I try to defend myself so hard but I messed up when I built this thing in like 2013. I spent almost $1000 because I was fucking retarded and bought my shit on amazon. I bought a gtx 760 with an fx 8350. A console that is half that price is way more powerful than mine and can run games at 4k 60 fps. Only thing that makes it worth it is mods and mouse/keyboard and both those things are becoming equal
