They promised ridiculous shit. I wish they would have focused more on the creature phase because after that it was pretty boring. The creature phase is good though. I go back to it sometimes and just play that part.

I honestly had my hand over the donate button and went "Wait, they can't pull this off, this is honestly too good to be true, this might be some kind of a scam."

I've only ever donated to 3 kickstarters and waited to see if they panned out.
None of them did.
Mr. Shitface's 3.3 million dollar scam and the vastly underwhelming Wasteland 2 and Pillars of Eternity.

Am thinking about buying Bloodstained if that actually ever comes out because I actually enjoyed that short public alpha thing.

I don't understand how DayZ has promised anything ridiculous. They have been completely upfront about early access being an alpha/beta, and have never promised a release date.

Given that they are still working on the game, and it has not been 1.0 released yet, how can it be said that they have broken any promises?

Their development timeline is garbage, but they also decided to switch engines half way through. That's irresponsible perhaps, but nowhere near the same level as Spore or NMS.
