I'd understand bitching about Kiwami if this was Japan and we got it for full price, that would definitely not be worth it given the lack of reanimated cutscenes, the recycling etc. But as someone who played 1 & thought "a lot of this action is conceptually awesome and has a lot of potential to be handled better", watching the last handful of boss battles on Youtube made me want to get it on release.

One detail I really like is that they didn't remove the Hokuto-like auras from the characters during heat moves. I dunno why they did that in 0 but it made them feel less cool than they otherwise would have.

They complain about the series constantly rehashing and reusing assets and everyone agrees 6 was released too early and needed more time in the oven. That's a fair and valid complaint and I'm with them on that. But they also want Yakuza 7 to be announced right now and get pissy when any remakes or spinoffs get announced that will let them experiment and give them more time to make Yakuza 7.

As far as I'm concerned, Kiryu's story is finished. Haruka got a family, you couldn't really have another fucking "Daigo fucked up again" story and all his major relationships are either sorted out (people dead) or are on stable ground. No need to pull him out for another story. He can be a mentor figure or simply be nowhere to be seen. It's not like Kuroda needs the work.

If you've been with the series since 1 you'd know this is a betrayal, a scam and an insult.
In Japan, a mobile game is seen as lowering your series' standards to appeal to casuals and spinoffs are a sign of greed and money bait. We Ryu Ga Gotoku fans were excited for real content for the series and instead we got a remake that shits all over the original vision of 2 and two games that only look to be signing the death warrant of the series integrity.

How does this mobile game work? Playing a Yakuza game on touch screen can only be a terrible experience. Kiwami 2 and Hokuto ga Gotoku are cool, though.
