Having to sheathe your weapon to sharpen it never made sense in the first place.

Unlike drinking potions, you're a total fucking retard if you sharpen your weapon while staring down the monster, so I don't see how this matters. It's not like it's a matter of timing or knowing an opening like drinking, you maintain your sharpness during downtime. I imagine I'm still only going to sharpen my weapon after sheathing it because if I'm sharpening, I'm about to chase the fucker across the map, or just finished chasing him across the map.

I would play 4U. I know like everyone else mentioned different games, but 4U is the most recent normal game in the series. World is essentially 5, so I think if you want to prepare for it or see what it might be like, you should play that one that precedes it. X/Generations is newer, but it's an anniversary game and in a sense, a spinoff, with a bunch of experimental additions.
