Breath of the wild is flawed anon. It's a nice time-consuming game and yesterday I booted it and I couldn't stop before 2 hours of play. but just the difference between the Rito's part and the gerudo part is pretty telling how much content was cut. If every divine beasts had had a small dungeon like the Yiga one before the actual divine beast, this game would be an absolute 10/10, but as it is, it lacks rewards, lacks monsters.

BB is shit if you've ever tried to play roll only builds before. It brings nothing new really worth your time, limit the build variety and the bosses are not as good as DS3 ones.

P5 is fun but some palace aren't that good. I'm stuck on the fifth one because it's not engaging at all.

Yup I mean it. Cleric Beast, Amelia, Witches, Micolash, emissiary, most chalice bosses, BSB, one reborn, moon presence are awful. Really awful and unresponsive, you can see their whole movesets by circling around them for 30 sec.

Then there are the meh ones, like Gascoigne, Rom, Pearlbeast, mergo's (which is almost in the awful tier), Amygdala, Failures, Ebrietas, Abhorrent beast

The good ones: Gehrman, pthumerian descendant and elder, the shadows of yarnham

Great ones: Logarius, Maria, Ludwig, Orphan

If it didn't have its DLC, I would rank BB even lower than DS2. That's how bad I think the bosses are. I had no fun with this game, and the balance is just broken, BL4 runs aren't fun.

Come on, that being said I agree that Bloodborne's weakest aspect is its boos variety. Most of them can be killed by hugging their feet and mashing R1.

Ebrietas flail around to attack you when you're next to her and charge when you're not, her blood attack is useless and her only deadly move (not counting the charge hitbox mess) is the laser on phase 2. The fight sounds good, looks good, but It wasn't that fun. Beat her on my 3rd try without really any trouble.

There's more to it than something like Amelia, Ebrietas' moveset is a lot more varied with the head slam, grab, the move where she gets up and relocates. I agree that she's another 'beast that flails around' but it's by far the best of that type in the base game.

Yarnham is one of the only fights forcing you to keep the whole arena in mind and keep watching 3 enemies movement at once. It's cool because it is not unfair, you can cover yourself, and it's refreshing compared to the bosses you've fought so far.

Shadows of Yharnam doesn't require that, it's just three guys with weapons that have very basic movests and some giant snakes. Most hostile hunters gave me more trouble.

When most moves can one-hit kill you, that's just poor challenge. I did a SL4 on Dark Souls without any magic or any buff and there isn't a single boss which can kill you with a single hit if you have the ring of favor. Even Manus can't kill you.

Meanwhile the undead giant with its boulder can insta kill you if you're under BL70-80. That's just poor design, poor balance.

When it comes to Moon Presence actually there isn't, you hug his sides and mash R1. It's a problem shared by many of Bloodborne's bosses like Cleric Beast, Amygdala, Vicar Amelia and the One Reborn.

Gehrman, Ebrietas and Logarius are the only god tier fights in the base game.

I've tried to go through most Chalice dungeons the earliest I could. But I reach the lower pthumerian chalice at SL38 (I didn't want to level up at this point to see how fair the game is) and it was just awful. Enemies which have nonsensical HP pools, and who deal so much damage because you don't have the required BL is something I can't stand.

I'm not fond of buffs and I didn't want to use papers at all and what I found there is just suffering. I just couldn't kill Rom in its closed room at BL 38.

When I came back to the story (I hadn't fought Amelia at this point yet) everything was so bad, unfun, and too easy. At this point I didn't care anymore and leveled up a bit, steamrolling on everything.

When I came back to the lower pthumerian chalice, Rom wasn't a threat anymore (and I was just BL60).It was a complete deception. That's how bad I think the balance is. Challenge shouldn't be about "can I stand an attack and rally the fuck out after it?" but more about, "how can I dodge these 3-4 moves that are clearly telegraphed?".

I didn't use the parry at all the whole game and switched the gun for a torch. I hate how bloated the healthbars are in this game, there's no excuse for that.
