>Half Life 2 released as sort of tech demo showing revolutionary features of Source Engine
>Valve known to be focusing on VR
>3 -> 3D -> Third Dimension -> VR
Why do people think Half of Life 3 is not going to be released?
You have autism
>>388293829
>need at the very least 1.3k dollars worth of hardware to efficiently run hl3
Why do people think they would do that.
>>388293829
>those glasses
Is that nuPepe?
Why do people fucking care is the better question.
>>388293970
Obviously it will be cheaper when it's released fool.
>"nu-uh Half Life 2 won't have dynamic physics, you need $3K workstation card to simulate that!"
>Third Dimension
>>388294064
In 2025?
If the VR meme is not dead by then, then VR would be widespread due to the low costs thus, making the impact HL3 on VR almost negligible
>>388294169
Nobody said 2025?
>>388294221
Doesn't matters, if VR is cheap enough that it makes the added cost not a big deal then that means it's widely spread and used to the point that any impact half life 3 on VR would have is lost and 15 years of work for a big, surprise impactful reveal with something that could change the industry go down the drain because everyone did it before.
Half life is dead, just accept it.
>>388294430
They will release Valve cheap VR alongside the game.
>>388293829
>Locking HL3 behind VR
I genuinely believe they're retarded enough to do this, even after everything that's happened.
>>388294556
With steam? A software only based system with a few and very limited hardware offers?
They're gonna bundle everyone this valve vr hardware?
To every single buyer around the world?
Locking out a game behind a limitation like that?
They're gonna bundle the thing for consoles too?
The logistics, backlash and framework behind all this shit is so immense you have no idea of what you're talking about.
>>388294829
What do you think they've been saving all their money for?
>>388295039
Look at gabe weight and tell me buddy
VR is a meme
an old one too, put it out to die please
The vive recently dropped in price 200$, seems like valve may be cooking things up and they want more people to be able to afford it.
>>388295212
>i'm too poor to afford vr so i'll shit talk it
lol what's it like living below poverty line?
vr shooters aren't going anywhere (geddit xD) until the movement problem isn't sorted out. That awkward teleportation mechanics that i see is popular among the devs just doesn't cut it.
>>388298740
have you even tried a VR shooter? Please tell me how this movement is bad.
>>388299154
I haven't, i'm speculating from what i've seen in doom vr/kf2 incursion
the one you posted looks alright i guess, how does it work, like gyro scooter? Like you lean forward a bit and it goes forward?
>>388293829
Honestly, I think they've been waiting for VR to really take off this whole time. That's really the next big step in gaming, and Half-Life games are always big pushes forward in gaming.
The writer is a beta bitch who can't handle that he doesn't get to make thousands of HL games whenever he wants.
>>388299276
>the one you posted looks alright i guess, how does it work, like gyro scooter? Like you lean forward a bit and it goes forward?
You push the direction you want to move on the the trackpad, same exact method we have had for years.
Is there really any concrete evidence about HL3 not being released?
The writer just THINKS its not going to be, has anyone at the Valve made any kind of announcement?
>>388299585
Valve stopped making games when they found out they can make millions selling community work while doing none of their own.
I used to be a big valve fanboy, now i legitimately hope they go bankrupt.
