It already seems like it's gonna be a p2w cash grab and a mess in terms of design. I also really hate the UI and especially the noise it makes when you get a kill.
Also, the community for the last one was mostly prepubescent squeakers and this one seems the same. There just seems to be no point in buying this game when I can just go back to the good version and play on gameranger servers and get a far more satisfactory experience or just play conquest.
Maybe I'll pick it up after a year if there's still a strong community.

Yea i'm getting it. I enjoyed the first game for what it was and it was pretty impressive on a technical level with fun arcadey gun play. I was going to skip out on the second game but was dragged back in when they announced prequel content since the world building in those movies was pretty top notch and led to some pretty amazing star wars games in the past. The point system looks pretty cool and a nice way to make all the different ways to play more accessible and while a lot of people are concerned about this, I think having multiple heroes on the bigger modes looks pretty dope and it will be interesting to see lightsaber characters working together on objectives in the midst of all the chaos you typically see in DICE games. The only thing I'm not really impressed by so far is the flight combat and I'm probably going to avoid it again like I did in the first nu-battlefront

Yeah, even though I know the loot crates will fuck everything over. I never played Pandemic's BF2 online though, did your abilities also carry over to that? Because I remember that after playing battlefront 2 for so long you basically became a monster with increased damage, better weapons, better defense, faster stamina regen, and a lot of other things that could not be turned off once achieved.
