Cleve's ego is too big to make a good game, because he's literally incapable of admitting that he's anything less than perfect and by extension the game taht he worked on for 25 years has to be perfect as well.

It's a shit game, but his own autism prevents him from acknowledging that. Instead, he's just hunting for scapegoats like this FilepePepe guy to make all the dislike look like a big conspiracy.
