I use 3ds Max student liscense for free, however blender is very popular, and maya too!

Getting started, animation theory, 3d animation, basics and learning curve for 3ds max is not too steep!

I usually use other peoples rigs, HOWEVER i know how to make my own, and with vid linked, I had an already boned rig, but I set up the ik system on it, super simple process, takes 60 seconds.

1. The magazine for a FAL needs to be 'rocked in' front to back, your animation looks like it's just placed in upwards straight like an M4
2. The charging handle isn't pulled back far enough to cycle a round

I'm fairly sure I did make a rocking animation for the magazine, I tiled the magazine 45 degrees before putting it in.

I actually had a feeling the charging handle was not far back enough, I just wasn't confident at that point in the animation.

It's easier to just drop empty mags to reload faster during a fight and pick them up later than having to take them off and put them in the magdump pouch before you can put a new one in. Shaves off a few precious seconds.
