How anyone can not be an Adventurefag is beyond me, just remembering Metal Harbor, that music, that level design, it's better than anything Sega has put out in years. And there were variations of the same level for all the characters... it made it feel special, you could see things from a different perspective but it was all still cohesive. Sega hasn't achieved that in a long time. Heroes sort of did it but the gameplay was shit, with the rotating characters for specific purposes etc... fuck that game.

I don't care if it's just the chao garden with minigames to get animals and drives.
The coloration and changes as the chao got older, the variations you could get by giving different stat boosts throughout its lifecycle, breeding monotones with two-tones, invisible chaos, translucent chaos, it was more fun than playing the actual levels imo

We all have that one shitty 3D Sonic game we all guiltily love. For me, it's Sonic Heroes.

I just love how they went back to the Classic aesthetic for one game and how it was the first Sonic Tails and Knuckles all went on an adventure together.

this game is very good.
good attempt at a multiple stemming storyline, multiple gameplay styles, amazing soundtrack, story all collides at the end in a satisfying manner.
SA1 is a fun experience too. you can tell actual soul and heart went into these games by sonic team. they were the last to originally be developed for SEGA's own consoles. after they got cucked in the console wars sonic games began to suck too. so i'm going to assume that is a significant correlation.
