I don't even get why "Soulslike" has become a genre, it's an open-world ARPG like a lot of games nowadays, it just bust your balls more than usual & doesn't hold your hand. That's like saying Ninja Gaiden is its own genre because it's known to be harder than other games in the same genre. Is Vanquishlike a thing because Vanquish's highest difficulty is harder than the average TPS?
