Book of Shadows is ok, it's not outright continuation though.
More of a collection of side stories (dealing with sudents of other shools, teacher's past etc.), alternative stories that offer more character info (based on some bad end of first game) and a bit of follow up of the main story at the end.
It's also presented in a more VN way instead of small sprites running through the shool.
Blood Drive isn't very good. It's the final part but most characters still alive are sidelined because the overreaching 'witches' plot already touched upon in previous games kicks into full gear. Also since Sachiko's birthday wasn't translated you're not going to get a full story that happened between BoS and BD unless you're a moon reader.

Book of Shadows is hit or miss.
Its plays nothing like this and is purely a VN. Some stories are great, while others are trash, and the last one is the only one that matters because it leads into the next game.

Blood Drive is actually terrible, I wouldn't reccomment it, BUT it has the best girl in the entire series in it and some of the best wrong ends in the series, so it's a least worth a watch on youtube.

Not him but yeah, it's pretty shit. Part of the thing I liked about the original corpse party was that the characters were grounded in reality and seemed like realistic characters. Basically they were high school students thrust into some really fucked up horrific shit and reacted as such.

Blood Drive introduced shit like a magical anime stripper warrior bitch who can pull a huge fucking scythe out her ass, a Mary Sue rich executive chick who decided to become a school teacher for shits and giggles who's so rich she decided to have her company bring Satochi fucking lunch one day on a helicopter and had an expensive hot spring built in his backyard.

Also the plot takes forever to actually go anywhere interesting. For a good portion of the game the characters are just sort of pussy footing around in the real world before they actually even go to Heavenly Host.

Oh and the stupidest bit, the game ends with fucking Ayumi going super sayan against a boss in a rhythm game

Sometimes they're malevolent but other times they're just sad or regretful and those spirits have words of kindness/warning for the living. EX CHAPTER 01『Last Waltz』

Sakutaro awakens after his attempt to end his own life ended in failure. After jumping from the window, his fall was broken by a tree, resulting in a broken arm and ribs. Sakutaro remembers his discovery that Mayu had been the corpse splattered against the wall and begins to cry in anguish. After he manages to stand, Sakutaro heads inside the building to find Mayu's body. He apologizes to her, hallucinates about her talking to him and reminisces about their relationship. He collects her remains in a plastic bag and is distressed upon realizing that her hair ornament is missing.

Sometime later, Sakutaro makes his way into the auditorium and takes a spot on the stage. He begins to perform a long, poetic, romantic monologue for Mayu and is unaware when Yuuya enters the room and begins to watch him. When he is finished, Yuuya applauds and startles him. Yuuya begins a conversation with Sakutaro, pleased that they've met again. Sakutaro maintains that he and Yuuya are nothing alike and is dismissive until Yuuya reveals that he is in possession of Mayu's hair ornament. Sakutaro attempts to retrieve it; first by demanding it be handed over and then by attempting to punch Yuuya.

Yuuya grabs Sakutaro's arm and begins to twist it. He questions Sakutaro's relationship with Mayu and is greatly amused when Sakutaro begins to vehemently deny that Mayu is dead at all. Eventually, Sakutaro breaks away from Yuuya and picks up the ornament before placing it into the plastic bag. He is unaware of Mayu's ghost watching him. Yuuya begins to guilt trip Morishige; insisting that Mayu hates him and wants him to die. Mayu's desperate cries to the contrary go unheard as Sakutaro slowly starts to agree. In vain, Mayu attempts to assure Sakutaro that she bears no ill will towards him and in fact loves him. Despite her efforts, Sakutaro retrieves Yuuya's fallen knife, confesses his own love for her and turns the blade on himsel

Exploration is a major part of the game, so yep.

I wouldn't say it's as good as Corpse Party's, since it's missing the exceptional sound design from GrisGris, but it's still pretty good. The remake did fuck up a certain enemy, but other than that it's mostly improvements.

Nah, you can get the true ending on the first playthrough. One of the trophies requires you complete the ending collection, which means getting every ending on every difficulty. The plat in general is pretty grindy, which makes sense since it's a Korean game.
