>game lets you choose sides between the Empire and the rebels
>the Empire is trying to maintain order while the rebels commit indiscriminate terrorist attacks on the populace under the justification that they are fighting for their "freedom"
>people on /v/ always unironically side with the terrorist rebels not realizing that logic is the same as supporting ISIS over America

I'm sure brits felt the same way back in 1765.
>that part in Star Wars where the rebels decapitate prisoners for propaganda videos so the empire knows they won't stop until everyone believes in the force.
Those movies got dark when Disney took over.
>game's antagonist is an old person who has seen war, political turmoil and instability due to democracy during the decades he's been involved
>antagonist claims that democracy is limited and peace and prosperity will only come thanks to a strong and willful leader who with a strong gand forcing hand leads his people the way they need to go
>protagonist is a young and hopeful individual who learns the power of cooperation, community and learns to lead a group of like minded individuals who through their individuality solves problems and brings peace and prosperity in a way that has the individual decide what he or she wants, rather than a supreme leader deciding what is best of her or him
>final battle boils down to a ideological battle where ultimately the old generation has to give way for the new and democracy triumphs thanks to the power of friendship
The sequel involves the democracy getting corrupt.

Are you implying that ISIS are freedom fighters?
Brink does it right. Both sides are sympathetic and have good arguments.

Nice trips. VTM:B does it right, though. The Camarilla fills the void of a government, and splinters off to monitor information, enforce laws, and control vampire populations to prevent some assholes from bringing an existential threat to the entire vampire race; but it's also filled with backstabbing, megalomaniac assholes who only look out for their own interests and spend their time fucking over other politicians and informants rather than leading their people. The Anarchs take a more libertarian approach to things, and want to foster local communities to watch out for each other rather than put such power in a political machine, but it's also full of edgy teenagers, scorned jarheads, and literal barbarians who hate compromise and don't have a contingency plan for if some catiff assholes violate the masquerade beyond covering up.Alternatively, you can choose to not side with either, making the choice even better.
