I seriously can't feel sorry for Dauntless. It's like they taunted Capcom with their media and copying MH in literally every aspect.
When they came out and said Monster Hunter was too grindy and Dauntless won't be, it instantly threw my interest off. It made me think they're just going to have a rush to whatever their end-game equivalent is to rarity 10 gear in a G-Rank monster hunter, with some sort of tacked on grind at the very end to keep you playing.

Combat is way different, dark souls ass I-frames with rolling.

Monsters have MMO-esque mechanics.
Bad character customization.

I don't think it's good, but you aren't doing Monhun OR Dauntless any favors by comparing them.

How do you fuck up something as core as monsters? From monsters that look and feel realistic (MonHun), to Saturday morning cartoon monsters.
Hunters look ugly as sin, armour looks ugly as sin, maps look as plain as possible, reusing entire move sets from a low end monster for a high end monster with Frontier level BS mixed in. Almost like they wanted to fuck it up.
