The classic sonic from generations can't be the same one from forces due to him knowing the drop dash so I'm guessing the phantom ruby brought over a classic sonic from a dimension where 4 never happened with its space warping powers. So if that's the case maybe forces just takes place in a brand new continuity where eggman actually won and generations never happened

I think the point stands more for this guy then it ever has for Shadow.

He could be relevant but it would take a new Sonic boost game with some kind of gimmick where both he and Sonic were playable

He's never going to get a main role again because we already had SA2 and his own game was a critical flop
