What's wrong with characters recognizing your character as special? In ever RPG, you ARE special. You have godlike powers no matter what the mechanics entail because you can save and load. You are more powerful than anything in the setting. It's fitting that there's a lore reason you're so strong. What's the big deal?

It's boring. I don't want the entire world to revolve around me because that makes it feel boring and shallow. The Elder Scrolls are notoriously bad at this, the entire world is frozen in time until the player character does something, then the gossip dialogue is updated and the entire world knows you cleared out cave X or beat cave Y, even if you only did so minutes before and there's no way they can know what happened.

Nah you're just didn't manage to die instantly. Anyone drinks the blood WILL die from it if not anything else, it's just a matter of timing. The Grey Warden isn't even powerful in canon, they only barely managed to survive because they always had a team with them, It kind of pains me to say it but from a lore perspective the inquisitor majorly outclasses the grey warden.

The power balance is weird once it gets to inquisition, In DAO the grey warden in the story had to get an army in order to defeat the archdemon while during a cutscene in inquisition a grey warden mage just out rights kills an archdemon by herself with no one else very quickly (even though it kills her, but it does that to all grey wardens, unless you do a certain ritual)

There are hundreds of games where the protagonist is acknowledged by the story to be ''the chosen one''. That's what it is.
