What's a rewarding, deeply immersive well written rpg I can play right now that I probably haven't?
I need to forget about the world right now. Jrpgs welcome.
>videogames
>well written
You probably just want to read a fantasy book

That you probably haven't play? Well, considering only the likes of Baldur's Gate and Suikoden qualify and you've probably played those, I really don't know the answer.
Truly great RPGs are quite a thin genre. The last one I can think of is probably Dragon's Age Origins.
Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete
Its cliche as hell but it's so sincere.
Play the PSP version, Silver Star Harmony, for an arguably better translation.

And I don't even like JRPGs.

>Suikoden
Actually haven't played this. Now that you mention it, I could play xenogears or planescape.

Why do Japs love these pseudo-Latin names?
>>387961342
play oblivion
>>387962441
same reason white people like to put random chinese/japanese symbols on shit
>>387962186
Warning though. The PSP one is super easy mode

You can play Vagrant Story if you don't mind something different.
>>387962517
That's not nearly as common as it used to be.

because in the internet age people realized it was gibberish most of the time

The Latin/German gibberish in Japanese shit is also somewhat less common these days.
Though there's still fun stuff like Noctis in FF15 that seems like a plot point but is completely abandoned.

Literally 98% of all books are written like crap as well, might as well go along with what he asked for originally
