I can't tell what the game is going for so I'm going to venture a guess that the director got very lost.

Pretty much from what I can tell it's an open-world RPG(?)
Since he changes items so much you'll probably be able to run around and explore to find new stuff much like the Witcher 3. And that's all I can think about this game, maybe the combat won't suck as much dick but the trailer didn't seem too exciting.

But we all know how stale W3 got after exploring for a few hours. There's nothing to keep you exploring once you have good gear. I mean at least W3 had decent side/main-quests. From what we've seen in the trailer, what even is the plot? I think that's going to be the most lacking aspect of the game, there's going to be the most braindead villain plotline and it's going to suck dick.

The style looks different at least, I'll always give props for something being different. Framerate stutter and stiff animations could be due to an early build, but if the final product looks that gross it won't succeed.

It's made by the guys who made Just Cause 2. The empty open world worked in Just Caused 2 because you could fly through it at the speed of light, this game doesn't look like it has nearly as many fast movement options.
