They once said that if FFXV was ported to the pc that they would do an experience fit only for the highest specs with a lot of graphical improvements. So honestly I don't know how many people will be even able to play the game. Those 170gb is probably filled with a lot of graphical enhancements.
All that and then with the recommended specs being a 1080ti, you can expect an even worse situation than Nier:A. You can expect Steam to be filled with bad reviews due to how shit the game runs on their rig. Maybe a 1060 can at least run the game on the lowest settings at 30fps.

As a guy who really enjoyed FFXV when I played through, i gotta look back on it and say it had some major issues. It's hard to even pin down exactly what they were. Before i've described it as it felt like at some point, the devs laid the ground work for a decent game, and then they had a several year long "bring your kids to work" day. During this time, they said here's the tools and handed full control to thier aspiring game dev children. I especially believe this to be the case with those two godawful dlc stories.

Something is just missing from this game, and nothing on that DLC schedule is gonna fix it. It's like the uncanny valley of video games. In some ways these strange shortcomings almost brought back the feelings i had when I played FF7. In other ways, it just felt like an empty experience.

I have been there to mang, Resident Evil 6 but i really do seem to enjoy my vidya a lot more than not.

The only really cool parts of the game were the fight with Aranea that turns into a fucking DBZ fight and like the last 2 or 3 chapters when you finally get into Nifilheim and when you wake up in the dark future. And even then those parts were cut to shreds in development and missing tons of potential content and exploration
