RA2 introduced the "lol so randum xd" bullshit to the series that grew and grew until the franchise collapsed in on itself.
RA and C&C had up to then been kinda goofy with a bit of tongue and cheek observations on action movies and sci-fi, but always stayed grounded in its own reality. The universe was believable and well executed.

RA2 may have been a fun game and a good RTS game, but it was an awful C&C game and it ruined westwood and the series.

Red Alert 2 is a must play. If you don't wanna play any other game ever, at least play Red Alert 2 and it's expansion.

The only C&C games I haven't played is C&C4 and C&C: Lone Survivor. The rest are all good, including RA3 people have mixed feelings for.

okay, I misremembered, those tanks are in Red Alert 2, but there are still Tesla Tanks in RA1, they just look different, but they are still tanks that shoot electricity at people.

Last movie I watched was Deathrace 2000, I fucking love camp.

Dont expect to play too many of those at native res without poking around the config files, but the Westwood games are still amazing.
