Literally most of it went right. All the mechanics it introduced were an improvement and some of them are quite elegant solutions to things that were a "problem" since the series inception. The only thing that needs improvement is balancing SOB to only kill 1 person or 2 max. The enemies that stop your sob chain should have been in the game as early as Hard mode and not relegated to ONLY Ultimate Ninja.

The main story could have been a bit longer, Rachel should have been in it, Kasumi should have had story presence. It also should have had all the weapons from Sigma 2 but considering what Razor's Edge came from and that most of the weapons in it have a new moveset and not the same as the previous games it's excusable.

There are more flaws, no game is perfect, but it's pretty good and in line with the previous titles, anyone who says otherwise can only be regurgitating memes, never seen an actual argument against it.

Calm your tits there sport. The enemies in Sigma 2 don't grab any more than they do in Vanilla 2, it's only their damage output that's fucked up and ONLY on Master Ninja mode. It sucks but NG is more than just the highest difficulty and MNM on vanilla 2 isn't any less unfun for different reasons.

It also did a good job scaling down the gaudiness of the weapon design in the second game. Some of the level 3 weapons were bordering on Power Ranger tier.

The girls are so much better in RE. The only thing i would change about Momiji is give her a better Ninpo, hers is actually extremely effective but it doesn't look as cool as the other ones. Her Sigma 2 one wasn't good either since it was just Art of the Inferno by another name, she needs a proper unique one like Kasumi and Ayane.

The story and the final boss was stupid as fuck but overall this game to me was about as enjoyable as the others, not sure what the fuss was all about because I didn't play the first version of ng3, but razors edge was definitely as good as 2 imo.

It's fun if a bit repetitive. The gameplay feels totally different from the first 2 games but is fun in its own right even if it is nowhere near as polished. Playstyle is more of an aggressive rampage than careful balancing of defense and offense.

I can live with people thinking even RE version of 3 is shit since it's such a departure but I find it a solid if underwhelming entry.

If you think that's too high I can go lower but I feel like 5/10 is about right if I take an objective look instead of being a rabid fan. It's very much a playable game, just a bad game.

Mission mode is the best thing in NG3RE. There's a ton of missions and they brought in enemies that aren't even in the main game.

I'll forever curse Sigma 2 for making a CPU partner mandatory offline and taking away the cool missions like survivals from vanilla 2.

It's a bit of a double edged sword. By more or less forcing people to play it with others Sigma 2 promotes it's multiplayer component while in Razor's Edge it's much more likely that players will play by themselves the majority of the time.

I have actually been playing Sigma 2's multiplayer the last week and you can still find people to play with somewhat regularly, conversely back when i played RE the Mission Mode online component was barren, you would find more people in the PVP mode.

I'm gonna move on to RE next so i hope there's still people playing like Sigma 2.

What really sucks in Sigma 2 is not being able to use the extra characters outside of Mission Mode and their chapters.
