No. But smb3 was still pretty good and was the necessary predecessor to smw. They both share some of the same charm and art style.

I will never understand how 3 vs. World was ever an argument. World is better in every aspect and it's not even debatable.

3 is better. I hate World's large levels. The series started shifting to a more exploration based platformer with World and that's not my thing.

Well it's a rushed game. If you took a step back and took a hard you'd notice it's lacking polish.

smw was designed for beginners

SMW is too easily broken by the cape. The fact that you can fly indefinitely makes a lot of levels trivial, especially autoscrollers. SMB3 has a few levels that you can skip, but it's only part of them and at least it feels rewarding to be able to build up enough speed and fly up without taking damage. It's way too easy in World.
Though, World has more content. Secret exits and the special levels are great additions.
