Quake. You should play it because it's awesome.

Played Castlevania Curse of Darkness. It was okayish, but sometimes it's grindy to get different Devils. At least the OST is 10/10 so listen to that if you're not gonna play it

Beyond Good and Evil.
Its a simple game that does what it sets out to do very well.
It truly feels like youre enbarking into this grand adventure, which is elevated by great characters and setting, the combat is a bit iffy but serviceable.

Mass Effect on PS3

The framerate drops during heavy action sequences and the citadel sections can be jarring at times. It doesn't help that the combat isn't as polished as it could be compared to other RPG's. However world building is fantastic and many characters have excellent writing, making them compelling and intriguing. I would recommend this game on PC since it was built with PC players in mind but the PS3 port is serviceable

Ehhhhh...?
I wouldn't say don't play it, but it hasn't totally hooked me yet.

I'm interested in playing it from all the good things I've heard about, should I play it on Dolphin or get the PC version?
>>
Persona 5
I think everyone and their wife's son has played it by now
>>
Viewtiful Joe 1 as Alastor adds a small layer of challenges, but they make him really satisfying to play. I can't get enough of him yelling devil trigger as soon as I transform and start racking up combos. It's worth having to play the game 2 to 3 times to get him.

For all the shit Bioshock gets, it is actually pretty comfy. Might give it a replay as well.

>Mechwarrior 4: mercanaries
play it because it's freeware now, also because it allows you to play as a mechanised mercenary unit. There's a solid amount of customization and the mechs control like big, hulking bipedal tanks, but it's still pretty easy to control once you map the buttons to your own preferences/get the hang of things.

I got Hylics for 99 cents today and finished it in 4.5 hours. Awesome style, surprisingly deep RPG/combat systems, awesome exploration. It's pretty poorly balanced though, in the beginning I died to literally every enemy I encountered but then I upgraded my party once and I almost never died for the rest of the game. The plot, characters, and dialog are completely incoherent which you will either hate for being 2deep4u style over substance, or love for being a surreal acid trip. Probably the best part is its length, just long enough to feel invested in its insane world and just short enough to not overstay its welcome or let the novelty wear off.

Worse than what the fans want you to believe.
Short enough to be given a chance.

Bioshock is SUPER fucking COMFY, especially the first and second one. Exploring Rapture mixed with the soundtrack is so relaxing, and the scary atmosphere is overtaken by that relaxing feeling so the game didn't scare me as much. I just thought it was calming getting to see the remnants of the city, and learn what happened to it. Same thing in Bioshock 2 as well, and Infinite is comfy at the very beginning but towards the middle and end it kind of loses it.

The first like 3-5 hours of Infinite are comfy as fuck though, even more comfy than the 1st and 2nd game even.

Earth's Dawn
It's honestly one of the best games I've played in a long while and wish tehre were more ARPGs in this style.
Not too difficult but still offered a challenge.
If you care about the plot and story you might dislike it a bit more since its not that great. Additionally if you hate grinding you might have some qualms but if you love good gameplay then I'd highly recommend it.

Agreed. It's a shame that the carefully constructed beautiful world is completely destroyed within a few hours of gameplay and the rest of the game is just shooting your way through samey destroyed corridors.

Thomas was Alone
It's fucking shit. The platformer equivalent of a walking simulator. You do basic platforming while some english fuck reads a story to you. Fuck it and fuck anyone tells me this game is good.

Miitopia. It's incredible, the many great mechanics and the soundtrack (which is surprisingly good for a mii game), it's pretty goofy and has great post game, just think tomodachi life but as an RPG

Putting in all kinds of mii's as characters is the real icing on the cake. Good variety of classes too!

Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix. This is my first time playing it in like 10 years, and first time on proud mode and its really satisfying. Takes me many tries to beat bosses. Play it if you like action rpgs and saturday morning cartoon cheese. Avoid if you "cringe" easily.
>>
If you love multiplayer shooters like me you'll love BF1.
BF1's multiplayer is very great because of it's chaotic large-scale battles and phenomenal soundtrack. Sadly the community is split because of paid DLC so some of the DLC maps will be empty which is a shame because the maps they release are good, also there aren't many weapons to play with. If you do ever decide to play it I recommend playing operations or conquest to get the most out of the game.

so far I'm liking the fantasy basketball more than I expected, and the visual novel stuff less than I expected. But the characters are likeable, matches feel really close, and it has a wonderful OST

The story gets pretty fucked up at times, something I wasn't quite expecting.
Fucking around in the item world is way more entertaining than it should be.

Dragon Quest IX
I just started but everything feels "right" with the game. The world is colorful and bright, and the animated scenes in the beginning are very high in quality for a DS game. Wonderfully fitting music as well.

I'm bouncing between fighting Oceiros and proceeding through Lothric castle. I decided to take a break when i died to that ice dancer shortly after the dragon barracks bonfire.
Sitting at SL 71 right now.

>The End is Nigh
If you're a fan of Super Meat Boy, Binding of Isaac, or any of Edmund's other work like his Newgrounds stuff, you should definitely give this a go. It's got a tight physics engine that makes Super Meat Boy feel floaty, the game being less about speed and more about navigation and precision. It's got his humor, but it's more placid and organically incorporated. It also borrows from Isaac's pathos, with a creepy and genuinely interesting setting, while paying homage to Time Fcuk and Aether.
Plus it's got a lot of neat content. If you enjoy the game, then there's a lot of secrets and unlockable levels;

I'm really enjoying it. I don't think it's for everyone, but if you're a fan of Edmund's work then you should definitely give it a whirl.

Plus it has Rich Evan voicing the cutscenes.
>>
>>387870712
Not him but there's a number of ways to go about that.
And Oceiros is an optional fight, which is a huge pain in the ass to kill based on your build, you can ignore that, but it does unlock 2 optional areas.

You can ignore the ice dancer, once you get inside the castle you can get to the next boss pretty easy. Don't know how many lords of cinder you killed, but you should kill 3 of them before moving on.
>>
Darkest Dungeon.

Everytime I get attached to a character, they die or I have to let them go because they're already too far gone to be useful.

No one is a hero; everyone is expendable. Good game if you're looking to drown yourself in despair.

Fuck the Cove tho.
