I always suck at killing people at long range, even with rifles. I do really good fighting house to house and especially indoors, but when it gets to the point where everyone is running into the circle from the edge and its out in the woods near a field or something, I'll shoot someone far away, hit them a couple times, they will barely survive and take cover, and then I will get shot and killed from another direction by someone else who was attracted to the sound of my gunfire.
It's gotten to the point where I wont even open fire on someone I spotted unless they are close enough and exposed enough that a kill is a sure thing

goty best multiplayer experience in a long while.

This game makes me so fucking paranoid, just spent 10 minutes looting good gear in isolated farmhouse areas only to get red zoned once, hid in a house until it was over, make my way out of house, only for the red zone to drop on me again so had no option but to run like fuck through a field only to get ambushed by some other fuck with an AKM firing at me from 500m behind, he got me good but at least I am starting to get good enough to get a few shots back now. Also weirdly enough that match is the first one I've ever had where it didn't lag one fucking bit and had no issues with rendering.
