How the fuck are they going to combine the maps when they are this fucking HUEG? I can't imagine the slowdown it would cause if you had to play a map where all of these factions get to have a turn after the player ends his.

This. What are some good AI mods in general? I hate playing on difficulties higher than Normal, because of the stat bonuses enemy units get, that destroy any semblance of balance the game has. Are there ways to make the AI more competent in combat?
