It was bad because

1) It had no tombs and no raiding thereof,
2) It was just a boring basic bitch type of game we've seen a hundred times already, and
3) They turned the most famous videogame sex symbol in the west into a frumpy brown Plain Jane in a misguided attempt to make her "respectable" by removing every reason why people cared about her in the first place

You might enjoy NuRaider if you have never played a videogame in your life or heard of this series before. That is to say, it's an okay game in a vacuum. But games don't exist in a vacuum, especially not when they're a part of a multi-decade franchise.
