What does /v/ think of the Sonic Rush games??? Never hear them

Only played the first one. Kinda mediocre, don't like the boost gameplay and the abundance of bottomless pits. I like Sonic Advance (as a series) much better.

rush adventure was better on all levels except the true boss theme.

I liked it. It's the last Sonic game series made by Sonic Team that doesn't fuck up the physics. They then made the Unleashed/Colors/Generations for DS/3DS which are pretty much Sonic 4 with different coat of paint. The use of 2.5D is pretty clever at times to accommodate the small cartridge size. It's a little bit on the easy side, because it was made for kids.

Honestly I found Rush meh, level design is pretty wonky at times with bottomless pits, really disjointed gimmicks, bad bosses and enemy rooms and too much downtime at points (god I hate water palace) music is good though, however Rush Adventure has much better stage design and bosses compared to the original rush except it's padded with grinding and sailing minigames which I don't hate but they drag the game down a bit music is just as good as rush but for different reasons
