If you're patient and/or fine with waiting then by all means wait, even Bloodborne will eventually get to PC (via emulation which will happen eventually, even if it takes years), however if you're not a poorfag and just want to play games without platform-wars bullshit then buying PS4 (and Switch and Vita and 3DS and all other systems) is great option.

Why is Nintendo the only console maker/developer to actually have worthwhile exclusives on their platforms?

It's because Nintendo always had a strong first party, even back in NES and SNES times when they had most of the third party support.

With the n64 they lost it all to Sony but they still kept on making strong first party games.
Sony never felt the need to. They relied on third party support and it worked. Many people thought Sony was behind games like MGS and FF7 at the time.
This worked out really well for Sony in the PS1 and the PS2 gen because they managed to absorb all third parties.

Then the PS3 gen started and third party devs woke up and realized that there's literally no reason to only release games on one system. They started pushing console devs towards making samey hardware and then started releasing games on the 360 next to the PS3. Many also started releasing PC ports because porting from 360 to PC is easy.

Now we're at the point where like 90% of all PC/PS4/Xbox One games are multiplats so you're set if you just buy a PC. Only Nintendo are special because they kinda still do what they always did, make strong first party games.
This makes Nintendo somewhat unappealing for those who only want one gaming system and insist on multiplats, but those who want a unique experience nobody else offers get what they want.

Splatoon (including 2 obviously) is probably one of the most mechanically original shooters to come out in years, and has a healthy player base.

Titanfall 2 doesn't really do anything original. Its claim to fame outside of its boring titans is its movement based shooting, but Quake has had that down for years and is a lot more polished and refined.

This is why no one plays Titanfail. It really doesn't have an original bone in its body.

Because Respawn are the kind of Devs that don't agree with that their "lords and Masters" at EA want with the game, and since they are were? simply partnered with them they said "fuck you" do their season pass shit and decided to make every piece of DLC free and just sell cosmetics.

Because of this bit of indipendence EA forced the release of the game directly between the newest call of duty and battlefirled 1, effectiivly killing the game, and in EA's hope, stumping the growth of Respawn.

Thankfully through good word of mouth the playerbase has been slowly, but steadily growing as people realise how washed-out the call of duty games are and how dogshit the battlefield 1 game is.

You need to understand how petty EA is. They LITERALLY tried to sabotage a game because the devs didn't want to nickle and dime the playerbase and generally treat them as meat wallets.
