I just downloaded MGR, should I use a controller to play it?

I've heard controller is better but I thought kb+m was fine
Took some getting used to parrying though and you need to fucking parry

Definitely use the controller.
Although the KB+M control scheme does have an advantage. The dodge is bound to a single key on it, while you have to press two simultaneously on the controller, so it's possible to fuck up a dodge.

Controller. Learn to do precise cuts, you'll need it later.

Controller is better, because the game relies on well-timed directional inputs to trigger parries and attacks won't always come from the 4 WASD directions.

If you can controller is definitely the better option for just about any of these types of games.
MGR exemplifies it with the fact that doing the QTE on the very final boss would cost you all of your hair even on a hard difficulty setting. Let alone trying to platinum the game on something higher.
