That game is pretty cheesy, managed to beat a lot of people online by simply spamming a combo and that dash-jutsu to realign.

was ok in tf2 back in the day, but half of it was kritzkrieg being broken as fuck imo, since crits didn't register falloff damage

warcraft 3

watch replays, plan out most effective course of action for yourself before playing for :

- each map
- each match up
- each situation

Always prioritize creeping power and tier 2 efficiency as thats the most impactful tier in the game. If your tier 2 is useless, you are most likely to lose the game

Customize micro arena maps in world editor to use army compositions that you prefer to use, and then practice vs bots

If you suck, download AMAI bots and play vs insane undead without rushing. It will teach you how to be more effective with your time

Thats just a few tricks you can use

Any racing game :

Commit to one type of vehicle so its easier to adjust to new tracks and handling style

Ride through each corner without hitting anything even if its slow.

Take note of each corners speed/gear

Then continue testing each corner with much higher speed/gear until you reach crashing in the corner speed.

After that it will be much easier to narrow down the potential speed that you can have in each corner. With some more time and dedication take note of each corners perfect speeds and gears. This will make you have much more consistent speed which is the key to being fast and improving.

You dont really improve if you have chaotic style of driving, but you will improve quickly if you plan out things and do not crash often.

Not crashing = more effective training.

Clearly you aren't dedicated or passionate enough about the competitive side to the games to improve without burning out through a feeling of obligation.
I've been pretty bad/average desu most of my life and never got farther than slightly above average at many of the games I put time into and considered myself "good" when I played them. I'm still not that great overall, but god damn if it doesn't amaze myself how far I've gotten ever since starting fighting games. I never would have believed I could make it through some of the plateaus I've hit. If I am never able to improve any farther, it would be frustrating, but I would still be able to overall look back and be satisfied with myself, the point being that I've enjoyed my journey more than my need to satisfy my ego.

league of legends

play top

push without dying with a champion who wins duel vs enemy top laner

OR

play top and clear waves without dying with a champion who roams good with CC or assassin damage.

Basically out pick your enemy lane

Main 2 champions at MAXIMUM. If you play any more, you will lose few % of winrate
>>
>>387781286
I would say I'm that good, but I can play fighting games fairly competently. I typically force the guy I'm up against into a 50/50 situation and pressuring them into doing unsafe moves (dashing in their face on wake up; making them guess if I'm going for a heavy low or a grab, or using unsafe looking moves to bait out a punishable combo starter)
>>
Fighting games. Learn frame data for moves you typically have trouble with. When I play guilty gear online people get cornered by fafnir for the entire match while I'm screaming at my screen for them to JUST guard it
>>

Smash 4. It's not saying much I know, but I'm pretty good at Sm4sh. I use Palutena and win with an unorthadox and confusing play style. Wouldn't work at actual tournies, but it works online.

Im d1 in league, got to d3 by only abusing lanes and tilting crybabies. Everyone gets tilted after getting ganked 5 times even if I dont kill them, escorting a lane for my teammate is usually enough. Yasuo and Riven mains are the prime target. I think I made about 20 of those run it down mid.

I guess Call of Booty 4, just learn the maps, popular spots people like to travel though, be wary of popular camping spots, and avoid places that a sniper can easily kill you from.
Also have the better aim, stun grenades, and know how to hop and lay down like a faggot.
>>
Company of Heroes

I used to be pretty decent with LoL. played it from just after beta till season 3. But my top moment was when I abused morde with 2 gunblades which got fixed (was fun as hell though).

More recently GITSFA. Its a terrible game and they killed it a month ago with a complete overhaul patch. But before that I managed to get to the top of the scoreboard every time, even against someone who everyone in the forums was sucking off.

Not exactly good but decent enough at Tribes: Ascend (and the originals way back when)

I focus exclusively on capturing the flag with a light class since it's the only fun thing to do in nuTribes when the class system sucks and most of the weapons suck. Some games turn into a numbers game when it comes to attempts on the flag and you have to make sure your team either has enough decent cappers or carry them yourself if it doesn't. It's a far cry from classic Tribes which had actual strategy in every aspect, every class and every map but at least it wins games.
>>
>>387785572
It does get pretty depressing sometimes, but theres new fun to be found beyond initial expectations.

In any real time game, more so in a real time strategy game, the strategy element is done before playing. So in a way you can play the game without playing, but by simply thinking about it and preparing.

And of course it is always fun to triumph against heavy thinkers and people who thought that their strategy is better than yours ( or actually was by a bit or even a lot ) by simply having much better real time skills ( high apm, experience and knowledge on how to handle yourself effectively, less wasted movements ).

I had many fun games where I didn't scout an expansion, and had to fight 50 food vs 70 multiple fights, but would win eventually, just by simply not losing units due to superior hero micro and usage. ( undeads often experience stuff like this, with their DK and speed aura and frost armor micro abuse vs human or so )

It sucks that you lost your sense of fun in this, but how else can it be?

Games havent improved beyond Chess and fencing and probably never will. And does it have to?

Theres joy to be found in practice and preparation

>>387784743

Finding best speed/gear doesn't really matter if you drift or grip run corners. Drift can be used for speed too ( rally or how you later said - downhill ) . But where to use drift or grip and for which corners is an entirely different discussion and needs more info about course/car and games physics in general
>>
>>387782147
Amai bots, gotta check that out I am a poorfag I try to get in all kind of multiplayer games that can be enjoyed for free and wc3 has a lot of ways to play in multiplayer I also tried netease and got my ass handed to me really bad.

While op I am quite okay in street fighter 3rd strike. I play with bots almost all of the time and as for tricks used in actual games I play oro and he has a lot of self working tricks like blind crossups unblockables and stuff. most of my games i focus on pressure and high low mixups and being unpredictable but on second thought that's the general strategy of 3rd strike. Also instead of thinking and testing my opponent patience and only punishing mistakes I instead go in and apply all the pressure and bruteforce my techs until my opponent show vulnerability and I get mixups but that strategy a lot of times back fire too. I am on fightcade almost daily just hit me up by saying "who is this paki faggot" and if i would be online I would challenge you

I'm currently on the Top 20 of the World Leaderboards of Battlerite and made some reasonable tournament winnings.

Drink a shit ton of water and practice every day. Don't eat junk food. That's pretty much it.
>>
>>387782918
That's just your subjective experience.
I like playing FPS games, they're fun for me, but I will never improve beyond "tactics" because my reflexes are garbage and I just can't aim that well, and I never will be. All those "muh aim" tutorials? I've tried them all and yeah of course I've improved, but I'll never be actually, truly good at the games. I hate to bring up talent, but when you see teens shitting all over you with raw aim alone, and you know they never sat down and tried hard at all, it's pretty hard not to just flat out give up and admit your limitations.
>>
>>387787245
>finding the best speed/gear doesnt really matter for drifting

Literally what are you talking about, not only do they matter incredibly, but changing gear ratio is a huge part of course-specific drifting, cmon man

Tricks of life or tricks of game
>>
>>387788152
Yeah all those people are surely bronze (or whatever battlerite-equivalent is) because they're not hydrated enough. That explains it.
>>
x22 4 lyfe
>>
>>387788381
I bet you most of them are dehydrated.
>>
>>387788381
Eating well is important once you're past that initial step, and being well hydrated and awake makes you more perceptive to small details and mistakes so you'll most likely learn faster as well.

I mean, there's more to it, sure, like having the right kind of mindset and always looking for the mistake in your own play, not in any imbalance of the game or your teammates. If you lose, it's because you didn't play well enough, period. If your teammate dies at the start of the round with no points, don't think "What a fucking noob", think "How do I benefit from this fucking idiot running in there and drawing all the attention on him enough to carry him through this?"

My bad I miswrote that. The guy was talking like it didn't matter, while it matters all the same for racing with grip and drifting

watch Go)Space or just Space videos. He was literally handicapped pro at a very high skill game. As years went by he gradually got worse and worse at micro play due to his illness making him unable to use hotkeys, and on top of that he played the most micro intense race in the game at the peak of that race being the weakest.

It isnt about how long you play, its about how much youre willing to put into just learning a few characters until you know how to win the lane.
>>
>>387790301
Sure, as long as
1. you have some talent for the game
2. you play the game regularly
3. you make use of your time spent playing properly
4. you are at least of average intelligence and creativity
5. you are young, fit, and healthy

I remember a while back someone posting an article about a game journalist going into the world of hacks. Its pretty amusing (including the hack site owner doing some cringy dont betray me shit) and if you read it you know pretty well that if you do it well they wont catch you. Especially if you have a hack that only a small userbase uses.

Still ive seen enough people fail even with hacks. Like
