I think I dont want to actually play an mmo cause i always want to avoid people
i just want to play the mmo type game, really long grindy, big world, char creation and dressup, i like the healer gameplay as well in them and im not aware of anything else really similar in a single player game
anybody have any suggestions of something along these lines
picture tangentially related i guess
Get FFXIV, make a character on Adamantoise, and I'll party up with you and you can be the healer. That's my final offer.

>being a healslut in single player
y tho
Disgaea to an extent, outside of that the best I could give you are ugly looking WRPGs, but those wouldn't really let you be a healer.
>>387772167
Since when did you need a healer in Disgaea?
There's Dragons Dogma, that game is amazing and your party management is important. You can become a buff and heal casting support unit to an unstoppable killing machine Pawn.

well i dont really want to be a heal slut that was just the only vaguely related image i had to what im asking about
i mostly just want a single player mmoish thing, and i was also remarking its odd that theres this entire gameplay style thats not represented outside of MMO games
to some extent i feel like the Damage over time archetype is sorta mmo exclusive too, you never see it in single player stuff, its always just str vs dex
>>387772245
Well you could use that evility that turns heals into damage and nuke everything.
>>387772337
That is an option indeed anon

Xenoblade Chronicles, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Final Fantasy XII. Dragon's Dogma as well. Big, grindy, MMO-style games (DD to a lesser degree since it takes major cues from monster hunter) but you can viably take support roles in all of those games. Not gonna guarantee that you won't get bored, though. Supporting AI party members is ten times less "fun" than you'd think.

>tfw you´re a tank and love your healers
>>387771975
You can play Runescape as a singleplayer game pretty much. RS3 is pretty shitty, but OSRS is fun.
>>387772245
Disgaea healers are really cute.
healer fags are the most obnoxious people on the planet. i'd rather play with Brazilians than these "ugguuu tank :3 Murrr stop XDD" retards and people from /v/ who erp and have autism.
Looking for heal slut on ffxiv
>>387771975
that boy is fuckable as fuck
Do I make a good healslut impression? https://vocaroo.com/i/s0rRN2UvjoHD
I'm a catboy healslut that wants equal amounts of praise from my big strong manly tanks as they breed me bareback after successful raids, and I also want furious violent DPSes to gangrape me and spitroast me when we wipe
SWTOR.
Not kidding. it's literally a single player MMO.
>>387773539
Fuck off faggot
>>387771975
Honestly I would want to play an MMO but only if it forced you to interact with other people. Make the game brutally hard to the point that solo'ing it is impossible. Make it necessary to travel in a group from location to location without fast travel in order to not die from the powerful encounters. Build bonds with people you play with and form a tight-knit community instead of everyone just sulking in the corner.
I doubt we'd ever see one of those given how niche the appeal would be, though.

ESO was like that at one point and it was shit because having a world where you can't do normal quests because you can't leave the city because a wolf will murder you so you have to wait until you friends are online isn't fun.
>>387773737
If you really want to try soemthing like this give Project 1999 a try, its a EQ server that runs on the old original ruleset and its very similar to what you are talking about
it has its advantages and downsides

>tfw you're a healer and you love your tanks
>>387773682
Joke's on you, anon. I get turned on when you bully me
>>387772380
This is the real answer. The first thing I thought playing xenoblade was "wow so single player world of warcraft?" Great game tho
>>387771975
an mmo is just a dungeon crawler but each party member is an individual player.
How hard is it for people to see this?
>>387774460
That second part is unique though
Like I'd love to play Etrian Odyssey where I only play one character but it's just not something you see, the closest I can think of is like, Persona 3
>>387771975
God, I just realized that I dont need to deal with healfags because Black Desert has no healer class.
Thank fuck.
>>387774525
There are single character dungeon crawlers though.
And if you like action dungeon crawlers that's pretty much what the Souls-like and diablo-clone genre is.
>>387774525
>>387774901
Actually come to think of it MMOs are action dungeon crawlers where you only play as one character!
>>387775002
You're supposed to only have one character while your friends play as others.
And yes MMOs evolved as an amalgamation of MUDs and Dungeon Crawlers like NWN
>>387775002
I'd hardly call MMOs "action" anything, very few fit that description
>>387775195
The problem is the people that play MMOs have the worst social skills of all gamers. If you were to remove group finding programs and make it so the classes did not fit neatly into the trinity the entire community would be incapable of forming a party.
None of them would have friends to play with or if they did they would be too uncoordinated to form a decent team strategy. Everyone would be too timid to form groups with strangers and even if they did they wouldn't be able to handle class interactions that has them doing more than just 1 role.
Hell can you imagine if they had wizardry style mazes in MMOs? No dungeons would ever get cleared because the players would be too incoordinated to stick to a group while navigating the maze. As it is now they can barely handle navigating dungeons that consist entirely of straight lines.
Honestly it's a mystery to me why MMOs are comprised chiefly of players that can't handle social interactions, they'd be much happier with single player dungeon crawlers.
>>387775790
If it's not turn based it's action based. How hard is for you to understand this? Seriously there's no mystery 3rd option between turn based and action based.
What I think you meant to say was that the action parts are not very demanding compared to say Ninja Gaiden.
>>387776032
>action based
You mean to say "real time". Action is never a word one should use to describe tab targeting, skill rotation combat.
>>387771975
>he thinks you actually need people to play mmo's
Most popular mmo's these days go out of their way to be antisocial you can do everything but the highest of content with groups of randoms and stay silent the whole time pretending they're npcs if you want
But what if the healer is a muscular old man?
