I've hacked my 3DS to bypass the region lock, but I still buy good games that are worth supporting.

I hacked mine a while back but it's still using Menuhax + EmuNAND when everyone's moved to Arm9 loader and then boot9strap and I haven't bothered doing it yet because it's suggested that I'm basically going to have to do it all from scratch.

I don't suppose there's an easy way to go from menuhax to boot9strap? I can get to the homebrew launcher in the regular NAND easily because I installed some hack that makes the health information thing go to it.

I have hacked my 3DS. The only games in that image worth buying/pirating are M&L Superstar Saga, Dragon Quest VIII, and Kirby.

It's currently much much easier than the other two methods. You can get it done in under a hour, even less if you download the files beforehand and organize then like in the guide.

You can use rpgmaker fes player to install a userland hack. Can't pirate games but can run emulators and stuff.

Some mentality of mine won't let me enjoy pirated games. Probably because I know I have such a variety to play, gotta hack that region lock away at some point though.

All I'd use it for is save backups, I don't pirate games and have refused to do so for any console I have, although I support piracy development for future archival.
Also at least 3 of those games really do deserve the support, and 2 actually do need it (Ever Oasis and MHS).

If you like a game why would you pirate it, instead of buying it so that there is more money for a possible sequel? :/ Oh, sorry, maybe pointlessly hacking and committing piracy gives you a false sense of power that you will never feel in real life.
