as an oldfag who played dota on custom, thought lol looked fag nooby, and then played whatever the 3. was called for a while before switching to lol because everyone played it; lol is my poison because I can't be arsed to hardcore autist for 70 minutes.

I recommend League if you can handle typical moba toxicity, its pretty fun.
theyre reworking the rune system soon too so all of the "LEAGUE IS PAY TO WIN" faggot retards will be BTFO

Thats kinda why I wanny play either HotS or LoL. Often times DotA games are over at the 20m mark, but people refuse to work as a team and the game just drags on. When I play with friends that's cool, but solo queing with third world trash is totes unfun.

HotS is trash
In LoL you can surrender matches, which Dota lacks. There is less of a feeling that everyone is a glass cannon in LoL than Dota, but LoL is missing some mechanics that add depth to the game like denying creeps and stacking camps. Overall though it comes down to which game has the character you like the skillset of the best. I like both Dota and LoL, but I play LoL more because I love playing as fiddlesticks in LoL, and there isn't a great parallel to him in Dota.
Who do you like to play in Dota? I could recommend some characters to try

Don't waste your time on League of Legends, just play Dota 2

Dota is good if you actually want complexity and a game that requires skill, HotS (so I hear) is fun for screwing around in. LoL is this awkward middle ground that really isn't fun OR complex

Dota 2 is a shit load better than lol but they really aren't all that different when it comes to skill ceiling. Also no moba should be anywhere near that far right, it's literally a genre made for people who can't handle playing rts games.
