Because /v/ has this funny binary attitude where you have to think that a game is either completely shit or a flawless masterpiece, and choosing the latter means that you have to defend the game from all criticism directed to it. After all, it's not like you could say that a game has its flaws but it's still good when you look at the bigger picture.

Its honestly better when people at least acknowledge a game's flaws. So many times you'll see something like 10/10 PERFECT GAME, and all discussion of flaws is swept under the rug of hating/not getting it.
