The world is far from empty. The problem is that there isn't enough variety in the things you can find, which makes the overworld feel monotonous. I wish there were cave systems and hidden grottoes, and also a larger roster of enemies instead of recolors. Darknuts, ReDeads, Like Likes, etc. should have been in the game.

I always felt the dungeon item formula was flawed since puzzles are completely trivial when you just need to use the one item you had obtained in that very same boss. I far preferred the divine beasts to most item dungeons in past games, I just wish there was more of them (then again they weren't padded out with fighting or cutscenes to load rooms, so probably works out about the same)

There's 7 towns, plenty of sidequests (INB4 "they all suck", I'll agree that there's a lot of fetchquest-tier stuff, but there's still many great quests in there - personal favorites of mine include the 3 spring quests, eventide, tarrey town, the final kakariko quest, zora loli quest, yiga hideout, etc.
Also, there's significantly more than 5 korok puzzle categories.

Not really. Have you played LttP recently? The dungeons are really simple and there's one dungeon where you really have a choice in where you're exploring. It's about the same OoT since Water Temple is similar in how you have to find two keys in either order to progress.

I had a little hideaway in that one little mini-peninsula in the east of the map where the Hylia Goddess statue was. Whenever I wanted to upgrade, I always went to that statue, just because of how picturesque it was in the wilderness.

I really loved the whole plateau and hyrule fields area. I honestly just love big green open valleys in games so that was going to be my favorite. My one major gripe is that the cloud simulation in this game while neat(the way the clouds block the sun and the shadows travel over the land) doesnt look good. I was bummed when for the first time they shadows rolled over the land and when i went to look up it was this ugly cloud. it wasnt bad at first but that is the only type of clouds in this game no fluffly clouds that have dark undersides and white tops.
