You realistically wouldnt use that move to hit anything beyond that area, it's not good for ground crossup since you can only cancel with special and there's none that would follow that angle, air 2b would work better since it would push the enemy towards the side you're facing.
air up melee is infinitely better for the forward/up angle
It could somehow work to catch some crossing air teches with the up behind range, but you would still be unable to follow up with anything, and you could catch that same air tech with a back air teleport as well for more damage.
The hitboxes there are really dumb, but they're the only ones you would use. I'm not saying that tasofro knew any of that, tho. If anything, if give it more horizontal reachor multihit
