The main human villain was meant to be a fairly typical power hungry villain with a god complex and good PR, a trope that's existed for a long, long time. The fact that you think it's supposed to be representative of Trump says way more about you (and probably Trump himself) than anything else.

When you take away the justification they realize that they no longer have anything to justify what they do- kamoshida no longer has a thought that he's better than everybody else because he's a gold medalist, so his desires disappear and he becomes remorseful.
