How the fuck do I get good in this game. I've been dying countless times on my way to the Witchwood by bandits
Come back later with higher level pawns, a better set of skills and remember to level your pawn up at taverns as well. Lots and lots and lots of greenwhateverthefuck, it's a cheap heal
>>387716971
Wait to do the witchwood until after you get to gran soren, but don't do the quest "into the abyss."
What vocation are you using?
>>387717692
Started as a Fighter with a Mage as my personal pawn
>>387716971
How many pawns do you have?
And if you have rook still, switch him out for a higher leveled pawn.
>>387718514
Already did switch Rook and recruited 2 other pawns, I was still dying. I guess Ill just go and grind a bit
>>387716971
I assume you're playing on hard, op.
http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Bastion
Play as warrior for a bit until you pick up this augment. This greatly reduces the ridiculous damage taken early on in hard mode so you aren't being 1-2 shot by mobs.
Would reccomend reaching the capital and getting some higher quality equipment.
does this game have mounts? I'm about to buy it as the artstyle reminds me of shadow of the colossus
>>387718789
You're probably being taken out by the bandits with throwblast/blast arrows. I had the same problem on my first run through.
When I was low-leveled they would take out almost 1/2 my health each hit. I stocked up on curatives, switched to ranger, and just shot the bandits from a distance to be safe. You can always switch around with the vocations, then master one when you're higher leveled.
You're gonna buy Grigori's game once again, right? Just think of the hack free pawns and that deliciousplatinum trophy

Thanks for the tips. Maybe these will help me out
>>387720130
I've already purchased the game three times. I bought the DLC and even spent some shekels on RC in the first edition. Just give me a sequel already.
>>387720130
Probably. Bought the original, Dark Arisen for PS3, the PC version and will buy the PS4 version. I really want a sequel but only finished the game once.
Capcom will just continue funding SF5 with my money. I'm a fucking fool.
just run pass them if they're too much trouble
>>387720130
It's not gonna have the theme song or berserk armour, is it? I'll still buy it, but I miss those. Modding it in just isn't the same on PC.
>>387719713
Not in the conventional sense, but sure. It technically has mounts.
>>387716971
Haul ass
>>387716971
You need to replace the pawns you summon every so often because they dont level. Progress elsewhere and level up yourself and your pawn. Make sure you and your pawns vocations compliment each other, always have a healer.
>>387720130
looking forward to itpiratedthe base game on PS3, never finished it due to lag and shit resolutionboughtthe PC remaster, I was so god damn fucking hyped, pic related from one of those threadswill buythe PS4 version because I wanted to play the game again anyways and for 25 bucks I'll gladly get the PS4 version
>level 125
>think nothing can stop me at this point
>quest to eliminate the 2 living armor in the catacombs
>"i can do this, easy"
>hardest fight i've encountered so far
This game always finds a way to make me keep playing. It's why I have close to300 hoursin game
>>387716971
>game runs worse on my 1080 than it did on my old 770
I hate this shit so much.
Oddly enough, the MMO literally does the same. Can't even 60 fps it and I get 30-45 fps.
>>387721014
>always have a healer.
Mages are terrible in DD. Equip everyone in your party with curatives and they'll use them when needed.
>>387721014
Those rando pawns can fuck themselves if they think theyre getting their mitts on my strongwarish
>>387721609
B-But that takes up inventory space
>>387722625
Everyone can carry enough curatives to take care of themselves and still act as packmules for loot. Moreso if they have the Sinew augment.
>>387722625
thats why you make your pawn a big fat ass who can carry more shit, retard.
>>387716971
Are you me? I stopped caring about this game because the fucking shit level curve. Get to Gran Soren, then all of a sudden every bandit spams the multiarrow skill and I get raped to death before I can get close. Or invisible fish monsters that swarm and drop in from off screen instant killing you. Also the camera sucks donkey dick and is constantly getting stuck on low poly bushes. Fuck off and at least give me a lock on.
>>387723070
>make your pawn a big fat ass who can carry more shit
>wanting to stare at a big fat ass for the entire playthrough
how about no
>>387724086
>saurians
>fish monsters
Holy shit you are braindead
>>387724086
Bandits won't be able to hit you if you're approaching them diagonally. I feel like with this game, you need to approach more battles cautiously and scan the field before jumping in, and Saurians become one of the easiest groups to deal with. Your melee strikes will also automatically hit in the direction of the enemy if you're not also holding a direction at the same time.
Has anyone else been playing with the World Difficulty mod? I'm curious about the different encounters. So far I've only seen wargs littered around, the Garm near the Duke's Manse, and a shit ton of hellhounds postgame.
>>387716971
Make your numbers go more biggerer
>>387716971
I can think of a couple of ways of doing that quest early on. First would obviously be to run past all the bandits south into the Witchwood, but that might take a couple of tries if you're not familiar with the area. If you actually want to fight them, then I'd try to find a way to stagger the high level fighter bandits. I'm not sure if throwblasts are available that early on, but they're amazing for knocking up enemies in the air or even just as DPS through to midgame.
>>387720130
>ddcucks will actually buy the same game 4 times
>>387724267
>not liking thicc
nigga u gay
>>387725553
But soulscucks bought the same game 4 times too.
>>387727043
>muh autism rivalry
>donating to capcom like it's a charity
Shield bandits are oddly fucking tough
Honestly just run around them. All of Witchwood will be easier than those bandits
is the "new game +" thing worth it?
Almost finished the game
>>387727614
>Almost finished the game
So you're almost through Bitterblack Isle 2.0?
>>387727507
>tfw it's gotten to the point where I don't even need to post her anymore
dunno how to feel about that desu
