Im 34 and beta tested ffxi on ps2 and played it off and on over like 4 years but got burned out after a few weeks each time. My friends and I would party chat on og xbox and play ffxi on ps2. I got a few irl normies friends into and and it took over their lives. One dude married some paraplegic he met and moved her in to his parents. They would play the game all day.

maybe it's just me but i have a very hard time reconnecting with old friends, i always just think "this person is basically a stranger to me now, why am i talking to them again?"
