Finally got a flashcard for my 3DS, what are some DS games you guys would recommend? I enjoy most genres, as long as the game is good/fun. I think strategy games are what i am feeling like right now, but any personal suggestion would be much appreciated.
I had a DS for many years, some of the games i have played (for reference)

Advanced Wars is an obvious suggestion for me, but should i play the GBA ones first? The Fire Emblems for DS always seemed incredibly mediocre.

Which DS flashcard did you get? I have an old dstwo but the added chip inside makes it hard to actually insert/remove it from the console. Plus it rarely recognizes the micro SD anymore, so I've been looking for a regular DS flashcard that works on a new 3ds and that doesn't have the added bulk of the dstwo

Just google /v/'s reccomended games wiki, that'll have basically what you want. I don't recall what games are on there, but I'm certain it'll give you most of the answers you'd usually get in these threads.
I want to be more help, but I can't recall what games I have on my flashcart.

Your list is pretty good. You can skip the 2 GBA Advance Wars games no problem as the plot is pratically irrelevant for these games. Skipping the DS Fire Emblem games is a good idea, as they are shit. As for new recommendations, the 3 Castlevania games on the DS are very good asides from the animu portraits in the first 2 games, which shouldn't matter at all for the game enjoyment.

Haha, thanks. For some reason i never really got into Castlevania, this seems like a good chance. Good to know i don't have to play the GBA Advanced Wars to properly keep up.

I have that exact card and it shuts off my 3DS when I plug it in or try to start the console.
