Why should I get a PSP though? What benefits over the vita does it provide?

I don't personally own a Vita, but I've heard it isn't backwards compatible with physical PSP games, and Vita homebrew doesn't have PSP emulation.

I'm NEET and I own every new system except a vita. I have a serious problem deciding what game to play next to the point where I literally just cant and I end up watching youtube videos all day until I decide to hop into some filler shit like killing floor 2 or dark souls 3 pvp to pass the time. I've also started to feel like I'm playing games to tick them off a list instead of just playing them because I want to. Obviously I want to because I wouldnt play them at all but even when I start a new one I'm thinking about what I should start next. I'm considering getting crash but I'll be playing it and halfway through I'll start thinking about which game out of my backlog and games I still need to buy should I begin afterwards. Having so much free time and choice is a blessing and a curse.

Don't do this, any modded xbox (especially if it's hardmodded) on ebay/craiglist is sold at ridiculous prices because the seller thinks they are only like 100 modded xboxes in the world. Also modded consoles are played on the most, i'd expect a cracked one found underneath a shirt a goodwill to have more lifespan than even a softmodded one. Softmodding the OG xboxes are super easy too so if that's what you're worried about you should be fine.

I'd recommend getting a dreamcast and saturn though, their emulation is mediocre and they can both run burnt games, although you'll need an action replay for the saturn.
