It's a shame but games like Battlefield have no audience on PC anymore. I've switched to consoles because every game I bought this gen has been dead on arrival on PC. The best system for vidya with the most worldwide access has been reduced to being the dota/pubg machine.

I tried to play with a controller a few days ago (to farm lootbox in Overwatch, so I played on my phone on LiquidSky, with a controller), but holy fuck I just cannot get used to it. One another plus about consoles is the lack of cheaters. I still get buttblasted how many times I meet cheaters in Overwatch.

Battlefield 4 still has a healthy playerbase though, kinda how Insurgency stays alive. Honestly don't think this inbuitl matchmaking really helped longevity.

BF1 on pc has thousand of players you just queued up for a specific Operation which is completely broken and has been since launch which is why you won't really get others joining. If you want to play Operations just go through Quickplay and it'll put you into a full server, albeit on a random Operations map roster but its the best you can do with that game mode at the moment. The rest of the game modes are all on the server browser so you won't have problems there.

I know the base game works just fine. I highly recommend purchasing/trying Origin Vault, there are a FUCKTON of great games in there.

Because it's way too new. With that said games get into Vault real fast, so I give it like 1-2 month and it will arrive.

Implying my refund will kill a game. If so, the game is already dead. I will continue playing the base game through Vault, I just don't want to wait 30 minutes each time.
(I played 2 operations. Waited 60 minutes, the full campaign was over in like 30 minutes overall.) Also, for some reason the new maps had like -25-40% fps for me than the base game ones. Don't know. It just looks and feels like a horrible purchase. In BF3 and BF4 we always had some great maps, good content, etc. Something that got you hyped. But here? I don't know.

As someone who loved Mass Effect 3's multiplayer, don't bother with Andromeda at all. The new studio came to the project from working on ME3MP and somehow managed to make it less exciting and even grindier despite all of the fundamental mechanics being in place still along with everyone being able to use jetpacks.

There's a new game coming in 2018 and as much as I enjoy certain features in BF1 like being able to harass planes effectively, lack of invulnerability measures for armour, what some of the maps have to offer and the changes to spotting, it still feels like EA released another Hardline-level title but tried to market it as a proper installment.

The content it has is piddly and DICE are introducing more and more stupid assignments (on top of them already being on a random weekly rotation for medals) to put masking tape over that. There are still bugs from launch, weapons and map concepts which have no business being DLC or at this rate only released towards the end of BF1's lifetime, no significant UI overhauls and instead of those it's getting Specialisations back along with a focus on ~competitive gaming~

Just today, some faggot russian managed to login into my origin account and changed the email and password. He managed to do that because I used the same email/password on some shitty forum ages ago and it aparently got hacked.

I played it before, bought it on launch. But I kept getting crashes due to the "GPUremoved" or "DeviceRemoved" or what was it called GPU bug in the BF engine. BF4 also had this apparently, but never occured for me / on my PC. But here, every good match I just got crashed out. Of course, losing all my earned shit. So I sold the whole account. Now after Vault came out, it worked, so I went ahead and bought the Pass. If there were active players, I would not have refunded.
