According to what? The earliest interview I remember reading about said that DS2's world was going to be just like DS1 but with more densely packed zones.

I enjoyed 2 a lot more than 3 at least. The PvP and the covenants were a lot better. Some would argue the games were never about PvP, but it's a better than their autismal fan fiction Vaati lore.
