You probably won't enjoy morrowind. Oblivion is worse than skyrim mechanics wise, and the main plot is pretty much the same bland adventure, but the entire game is worth playing just for the thieves guild questline (which actually takes forever to complete, more than the main quest for me)

Play either, Morrowind is the quintessential ES experience, but Oblivion is easier to get into.

Also, if you ever wanna try something different, I recommend daggerfall. Look up a guide to help you get started and just enjoy. No other game will offer you that much freedom.

Fellow Skyrim baby here, I had tried to go Morrowind but I couldn't keep up with it, it was too much of a culture shock, so I'm about to start Oblivion. It makes some sense to simply backtrack the series release-wise.

Nice quads. I meant more in terms of gameplay. Shivering Isles is very Skyrim-esque in that most of its quests are dungeon crawls, so I thought that would help ease him in from Skyrim. Most of Oblivion's core quests take place in the open world and have a lot more talking than killing.

If I want to be a fighter in a guild in Skyrim, I can join the Companions which has like 4 quests and is over in a couple of hours. That's it. If I want to be a fighter in Morrowind, I can join the Fighter's Guild, the Imperial Legion, or House Redoran. Three fully fleshed out questlines with many hours of content each. I could even join the Quarra vampire clan, making it four. Coming from the insane amount of content in Morrowind, Skyrim has piss all to do in it.

It's almost perfect, it has a real time interface like an MMO, any player can move any object like in vanilla, it's exactly how you would think it would work. However there's one major caveat and that is quests aren't separate for players, if one player does a quest it gets updated in everyone's journal and is completed for everyone. So it's only for coop right now.
