The only thing important about a style is the defensive ability you get from it. Your movelist can be changed from top to bottom, otherwise.

They cost tension shards to summon, they are very fragile, and you can be disarmed if you take enough blows.

There's also the matter that there's a LOT of moves to be learned. While some moves will certainly be more popular than others (I'm looking at you, Absorb Haymaker and Mill Punch), it still falls to personal choice and freedom of expression to build your own style and kick ass with it.
