Try out Hard Time. It's not exactly good or fleshed out, but for stupid prison fun it's okay. Here's my character in court for beating someone to death with a hammer.

I want a multiplayer prison game so bad. Be a guard, an inmate, a cook, whatever. Would be fun as fuck. If you did serious prison RP you could get some real cool shit going on.

The suffering. Great lore, gunplay was ok and it was loads of freaky trying to escape a prison island loaded with supernatual western. It tried to 2deep4u but it turned out as more of a spooky ride with morality. There was a sequel that covered mildly the prison aspect with the supernatural criminal spreading through out a city. To this date was one of the best ps2 era games before midway flunked.

There was that game, A Way Out, that just got announced last E3. It looked pretty interesting even though you can't talk about it on /v/ without people getting butthurt over the fact that it contains that generic stock black woman with an afro character that basically every AAA game coming out this year is using for whatever reason. Probably worth checking out tbqh. In a less literal sense there's also Persona 5.
