The original Dead Rising was good because it had a serious plot with the option of doing ridiculously absurd things inbetween.

Dead Rising 4 went full Saints Row 4. It's an absolute mess of gimmicks

I played through both just a few weeks ago. Did not try the online for 2 though.

They're both pretty flawless. Controls are tight. I don't think I dropped below 144 fps for either game on a 970. 2 does has a lack of proper graphics options, but it's whatever.

I loved 1, mostly loved 2, was ok with 3. 4 is a lot of fun, fuck the haters. It has a decent main story that throws back in parts. It's goofy but in a different way. Lack of a timer is great, again fuck the haters.

They're good, but I don't recall if DR2 still has multiplayer. I thought it was run through Windows Live.

People who enjoy video games wouldn't be able to enjoy DR4. It's so badly made, both in terms of polish and general design decisions.

I haven't touched 4, but I might give it a pirate one day just to run around in the new mall, while i play vaporwave music in the background.

The game itself is shit though.
