Just catched Groundhog Day here on TV in my country .. and I'm wondering.. are there any more games with this 'repeating the same day' theme? Not as good as Groundhog Day for sure.. but gimme some suggestions. I love time travel games .. and this theme is sort of time travel ..
Steins;Gate but it's a vn
Majora's Mask
Sorta Prince if Persia: WW
Majora's Mask
Majora's Mask mofo. Incredible game.

Pretty much.
You repeat the same three days again and again where without player meddling, the exact same series of event play out each time, and what seems at first like a curse turns out to actually be a very gradual for of omnicognesence once you figure out where all the moving parts are.
>>387424808
Duh, Life is Strange.
>>387424808
Bravely Default, but the "mechanic" can get annoying actually, still pretty gud.
>>387424808
Kagetsu Tohya
>>387425239
And the day before?
Majora's Mask mofo. Incredible game.
>>387425239
Underrated. Also, there's the Sexy Brutale, just came out this year. It's a similar idea.
EYE has you repeat the same sequence of events over and over while trying to figure out how to break the cycles of guilt.
>catched

Call of Duty
Not necessarily "time travel", but Dead Rising 1 and 2 are more or less designed around reliving the same 3 days over and over until you're strong enough to beat the psychos and save the day.

Came to post this

You could start a new game of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and just reset all the time
>>387424808
In case you were wondering, there is no divine intervention or big message in the movie.
There is a cut scene from the second draft of the film where Bill Murray's crazy ex, that he recently dumped, laid a curse on him using a book of witchcraft.
So it was supposed to be a silly, really simple premise. Don't know why they chose to cut that part out.
Kyon-kun, denwa
>>387428583
Because it sounds super stupid. Better go unexplained than introduce such a retarded scene
>>387425464
Don't ever recommend that dogshit to anyone, even if it is just a meme thread.
>>387428583
>there is no divine intervention or big message in the movie
I always thought the theme was adulthood or depression because sometimes it feels like you're doing the same things over and over again. Except Bill actually is living the same day.
The movie is better off without the cut scene.

ignore everyone else OP and play Day of the Tentacle. It's not strictly speaking what you wanted it but it is the BEST time travel game of all time.
>>387424808
I actually play Dead Rising like this. When Frank dies I restart the game, skipping redundant cutscenes. I'm actually ad libbed some dialog for it

>No one has said Way Of the Samurai
Get the 4th one on Steam onsale
>A dozen endings
>Branching (but simple paths)
>Everytime you restart the game you carry over unlocked moves, your customized weapons and unlockables gained through beating the game with special conditions
>Can fast forward or skip any cut scene so playing through isn't a pain
It has the look and depth of a 6.5/10 game, but something about it just makes it an 8.5/10 in my books.
Never 7.

There'a always that mass-replying faggot. In every single thread.

Steins;Gate. It's one of the highest ever rated visual novels as well. If you've never read/played a VN, it's worth trying out to see if you like the medium.
>>387429419
From what?

you're all just collectively a mass replying faggot so you can't just criticize me when everyone here contributes to a mass reply individually.
Did somebody say time loops?
Majora's Mask mofo. Incredible game.
>>387429506
oh shit, good call, that's my favorite episode.
>>387424808
Duh, Life is Strange.
Siren series. At least 1 and Blood Curse. Also, fuck time travel/time loop. Worst dumbest plot premise fucking ever.

Steins;Gate but it's a vn
Majora's Mask

Flower, Sun, and Rain. If you can handle DS era graphics, it's a pretty nice little adventure/VN and it's from Grasshopper and Suda51 so it has that going for it

Sexy Brutale is a neat little game, but it could have done way more with its concept. Still enjoyed it, though.
>>387429176

Still 6 seconds of inaccuracy, Mr. time traveler.
this is the only game that is equal to groundhog day
all these other games are time travel YOU can control
