What's great about it?

Disappointingly easy, enemy variety is bad and the backtracking is unbearable.

I like how open it is. While there's still one-way locks in place you can sequence break without the game trying to stop you.

I just wished it was as complicated as they originally planned, with assembler licenses being loot and injuries that require specific treatment. Felt like they were told to cut back by Bathesda.

I think you're underestimating how NintendoGAF this place is about BotW. We all know that a cutesy Japanese version of the Ubisoft formula will win GOTY across the board anyway, no matter how overrated.

It's great. There are ways to get around shit with simple equipment that I didn't figure out until getting maximum strength to just bash through.

Great ideas and a design logic I'd love to see more of in today's gaming world.

However, it has some serious issues. Enemy design being the main one, as well as the game falling to the same dumb shit every Shock style game does...it becomes shit in the last bit. It also felt too easy, I didn't feel pressured to mix up my approach at any time. Since everything CAN work, there's no reason to branch out
