I start feeling like I am not enjoying my free time whatsoever, I then start thinking about all those games I want to play but can't because my backlog is huge so in order to play new stuff I need to at least finish the games I've already started.
If I straight up ignore the urge, I will stop enjoying everything else in my life until I sit down, grab a controller and play for a few hours.

That's the opposite for me, I play video games with my friends a lot, but then I start thinking about how much of that time could've gone to an actual game like an RPG instead of whatever I am playing with them.

If games don't do it for you anymore then find something else. You sound a lot like me so I'll tell you how to beat the game backlog thing and guilt. Just play games you like. Like literally stop buying games altogether except for ones you really want to play. Pick up a fighting game or speedrun a game or something and put serious time into practicing and I guarantee you that playing good casual games again will be a breath of fresh air.

Oh no, sorry I might have not explained myself correctly.
I love video games, I play them all the time, I'm currently going through Valkyrie Profile 2.
It's more about me feeling guilty when I waste too much time playing shit like online games with friends Rocket League for example, and browsing 4chan instead of playing through my backlog.

Probably because your only other hobby is posting on 4chan and at least with video games you can pretend to be semi productive by completing a title and marking it off the list of things you must consume but if you post on 4chan you are making no progress in your life or anything. You should feel worse for being addicted to the internet than being addicted to gamus

That's perfectly normal in my opinion, hell, sometimes going out just to play video games for a couple of hours its too much of a hassle.
Maybe you are just the type of person who enjoys spending his time by yourself more than with others.
